Benefits

  • Thickness of only 0.030 inches (0.762 mm) to 0.125 inches (3.175 mm).
  • Maximum adhesion to fusion bonded epoxy.
  • Maximum protection for fusion bonded epoxy coatings.
  • Reduced diameter of bore hole.
  • Light Weight - POWERCRETE® weighs only 115 lbs/cu ft (1842 kg/cu m) vs conventional concrete at approximately 148 lbs/cu ft (2379 kg/cu m).

Example:

A 40 ft (12.2 m) length of 42 inch (106 cm) pipe with a 0.125 inch (0.635 mm) thickness of POWERCRETE® is increased in weight by only 487 lbs, versus an increase in weight of 7,960 lbs (3,618 kg) for 1.5 inch (38 mm) of conventional concrete. A truch could transport four lengths of such pipe protected with POWERCRETE®, but only one or two lengths is coated with conventional concrete.
